Between 2012 and 2014, CIPLA expanded in Europe by hiring 150 employees across 16 countries to build a direct presence.

By 2015, following a shift in strategy, the decision was made to shut down all European branches. The HR challenge was to coordinate mass layoffs across jurisdictions — each with unique legal and procedural requirements — all within a tight timeframe
